Falcon Middle School Reflections Program
It’s time for Falcon Middle School PTSA’s annual Reflections Program during the month of October, and we are hoping for your support. Each year, students are encouraged to create art based around a theme. This year’s theme is “I Can Make a Difference By”…..
The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.
Last year one of our students, Allie Arnett, won the Colorado PTA Merit Award for her photograph taken at our Championship Football game last year titled “Victory”.
We will be creating a PTSA Bulletin Board in the hall by the office and will display Allie’s photograph for all to view. We are so proud of her. Students may submit an entry in any of the six arts areas listed below. Only original works of art are accepted. The six arts areas are as follows:

Please talk to your child about the Reflections program during the month of October and encourage your child to participate. Reflections projects are created as artistic expressions and are not meant to be graded. Students must work individually on their Reflections projects, without adult assistance. Download the rules for each arts category for more information.
When your child chooses to participate in Reflections, they must complete an Official Entry Form and have it signed by their parent/guardian. We will have Forms available on our Bulletin Board and in the office. Students will not receive rules sheets for every category of Reflections—they need to pick up their own rules sheets from the bulletin board, in the office, or download them from this website at the end of this message.
All Reflections participants will receive recognition at one of our school assemblies. Students should turn in their artwork with the Official Entry Form to Karen Hobson at the FMS front office on or before November 27th by the end of the school day. We cannot accept entries after this date because we need time to judge the artwork.
Thank you for your support of Reflections. If you have any questions or students have questions, please contact me or Karen Hobson in the office.
